Happy Birthday Nigeria? Well, I don't see nothing much to be happy about. Most of us gyrating and jubilation now singing happy birthday Nigeria know we are just 'suffering and smiling,' while most of us are still grieving over their lost loved ones that were either blown up, slaughtered like rams by the invisible boko haram and there's no hope of them getting justice or even finding closures. Lots of students are still wasting at home because of the ASSU strike, I wish to see their faces when they sing happy birthday to Nigeria. So let's all pray that we may all someday say it from the bottoms of our bellies and with confidence and stop 'suffering and smiling.....Long live Nigeria ! 50 more innocent people have had their history cut short, killed as they slept for reason the normal mind can fathom. Going to school has earned these young people a death sentence. The state seems helpless, the people exasperated and in despair “celebrate” 53 years of independence realizing they are in more chains today than in 1960. Let us all pause reflect on these poor souls and find the will to say never again. From the Government houses, to the houses of worship and the homes of Nigeria. We must seek the will to do something before Robert Kaplan is proved right and this “coming anarchy” consumes us. Pat Utomi
